While I’ve been making paintings for nearly thirty years, I also developed a practice as a shamanic energy healer. I now feel that these two streams are fully integrated. If the work you see here is about anything it’s about my relationship to the seen and unseen, micro and macro, the kinship between the Three Kingdoms, the Cosmos and the Spirit World. Refining, forgetting, remembering, remembering to forget, then the painting paints itself.
I try to allow my mind to take the shape of a container, the way water takes the shape of a container, then dissolve the receptacle and allow my mind to unfold into new.
Susanne Sparrow Bellamy (born 1973 in Edison, New Jersey) is a visual artist, energy healer and Shamanic Reiki Master Teacher. Susie lived and worked in New York City for over two decades and now resides in Bovina, NY. Her private practice, Diamond Hollow Healing, is located in Andes, New York. Susie is also the author and creator of Dream Dust Shamanic Tarot, published in 2016, which is based on a series of her abstract paintings.
